This will probably be one of your child’s first experiences outside the immediate family and friends and we know that your choice to come to us will mean an exciting, stimulating and joyous experience for you and your child

Through group experiences children will come to understand and defend their own rights whilst learning to respect the rights of others and develop ideas and skills of communication. As a parent you are just as much a part of Wendy’s and Hyde Park as your child. We welcome parent’s input and discussions on issues of pre-school education, it’s aims and objectives and the means to achieving them.

Curriculum

We use the Early Years Learning Framework and the we are influenced by the Reggio Emilia principles and practices. These support our belief that children learn best through play experiences; from their emerging interests and that experiences should be developmentally appropriate. We believe in allowing children the time to explore ideas and to choose from a variety of activities. This requires a flexible, adaptive and responsive approach to planning. It also requires careful observation of the children so we can build upon their interests and developmental needs.

Our Team

In every session we have trained educators who have teaching and child care qualifications and have extensive child care experience. We spend time talking to parents about their children and we like to provide many opportunities for families to have information about their child’s learning. So that the children settle better we take the time to allow children to “bond” with an educator. We have educators rostered on the same days during the year to strengthen relationships further. We have taken great care in choosing the educators at Wendy’s and Hyde Park, all of them have exceptional skills, are caring and nurturing and are dedicated to early childhood education and the children they teach.
